Berlin Tegel

The Berlin-Tegel Airport is the main airport in Berlin, Germany. It lies in Tegel, about 8 km north-west from the city center. Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH opperates the airports Schönefeld and Tegel in Berlin. The new Berlin Brandenburg Airport Willy Brandt is being built in Schönefeld. All air traffic in Germany's capital region will be concentrated in the south-east of Berlin.

Tegel Airport is well integrated in Berlin's local transport network thanks to various buses and express buses operated by BVG (Berlin Transport Services). The airport is in Zone B. Bus stops are located right outside Terminal A and B.  Areas served by buses: S+U Alexanderplatz – S+U Brandenburger Tor – S+U Hauptbahnhof – S Beusselstraße – S+U Zoologischer Garten – S+U Jungfernheide - U Osloer Straße – U Franz-Neumann-Platz – U Kurt-Schumacher-Platz - U Jakob-Kaiser-Platz.

When coming from the north, the airport can be reached via the A111 autobahn. When coming from the south and from central Berlin, you can take the A100 city autobahn in order to then join the A111.

The taxi ranks at Tegel Airport can be found in the inner ring of Terminal A at Gates 6–9 and outside Terminal C and E.

The car rental centre is located on the lower floor near Terminal E and car park P2.  The main car rental companies present in airport are: Avis Budget, Enterprise, Hertz, Europcar, Sixt and Terstappen.
