To get a panoramic view, you can admire Stuttgart from a red Mercedes-Benz double-decker open-top bus to get to know the city's points of interest such as the MHP Arena, which houses the exclusive Porsche Tunnel Club, or the Mercedes-Benz Museum. While, on foot, you start by walking from Schlossplatz, the main square adorned with manicured gardens and dominated by the majestic Neues Schloss, the New Palace, once the residence of the dukes and kings of Württemberg. You can continue by crossing the Königstraße, the longest and most continuous pedestrian shopping area in Europe, 1.2 km long, stopping for lunch at the Cube restaurant (Kleiner Schloßplatz 1) above the Art Museum where you can admire the city from above or inside the famous Market Hall where you can taste typical products or sophisticated fresh fish dishes, oysters and champagne and buy delicacies to take home as travel souvenirs.

1. Palace Square

Stuttgart's Palace Square is the beating heart of the city and a perfect spot to relax, within walking distance of many local attractions. The square is a lively nerve center, ideal for a walk in the city and is surrounded by castles and palaces that tell the story of the past, while bolder and more futuristic buildings represent the present well. 2. New and Old Palace

The New Palace was the residence of the kings of Württemberg until the mid-nineteenth century. Today, it houses the ministries of the state government of Baden-Württemberg and state rooms and is not open to the public. The Old Palace was the seat of the first Counts and Dukes of Württemberg and, since 1949, has housed the Württemberg State Museum. In the palace square you can see many of the city's main attractions: medieval, baroque, classical and contemporary architecture, as well as Stuttgart's characteristic hillsides with views of the vineyards, the Mercedes star at the top of the station tower and the TV tower.

Located at Oberer Schlossgarten 6, one of the cultural highlights of the capital of Baden-Württemberg is the Staatstheater Stuttgart, the Stuttgart State Theater, Europe's largest three-branch theater. The history of the Stuttgart Opera dates back to the seventeenth century. Every season, with operas, ballet and theatrical performances, this cultural institution combines tradition and innovation, setting new standards. The opera house accommodates up to 1404 people, and performances are also held in the Kammertheater (chamber theater) and the New State Gallery, which has a capacity of 200 people.

Considered one of the best market halls in Germany, the Stuttgart Market Hall at Dorotheenstraße 4, built in Art Nouveau style in 1914, hides a paradise of delicacies. On the ground floor, as many as 33 stands display products with skill and care. A breath of the Mediterranean and the Orient crosses the spacious rooms with high-quality vegetables, meats, fish and poultry. The Dorotheen district of Stuttgart was opened in 2017 and is located at Holzstraße 21 between Karlsplatz and the Market right next to the traditional large Breuninger Department Store, and offers a combination of homewares, furniture, books, luxury shopping and pleasant restaurants for food tastings. With its mix of high-end fashion shops, restaurants, offices and homes, the Dorotheen Quarter is the new meeting point for lovers of luxury and conviviality. The neighborhood is open from 10:00 to 20:00.

The Stuttgart Museum of Modern Art (Kunstmuseum), located at Kleiner Schloßplatz 1 in the heart of the city and housed in a modern glass cube, is renowned for its important collection of works by Otto Dix (including the "Portrait of the Ballerina Anita Berber" and the triptych "Metropolis") and is considered one of Stuttgart's hidden gems. The striking 26-metre-high glass cube, designed by the Berlin architecture firm Hascher and Jehle, impresses with its elegant modernity. During the day, the glass galleries offer a magnificent view of the city and the surrounding hills , while at night the cube floats like a luminous sculpture above the Kleiner Schloßplatz. On the top floor there is the Cube restaurant where you can stop for lunch and admire the city from above.

Among the jewels of Stuttgart, the Porsche Museum on Porscheplatz presents the charm and variety of the Porsche brand to visitors from all over the world. More than 80 cars are on display in an area of 5,600 square meters, which is futuristically designed by Viennese architects Delugan Meissl. Here you can admire the legendary wheel hub engine of the Lohner-Porsche, the world's first hybrid vehicle built as early as 1900, up to the most recent generation of the Porsche 911. Inside there are also relaxation areas such as the Coffee Bar, the Boxenstopp bistro and the Christophorus restaurant as well as the Museum shop to find exclusive objects. In addition, the Museum's Porsche Drive Rental service allows you to rent a dream car for a few hours, for a weekend or up to 28 days.

Daimler is the oldest car manufacturer in the world, with a history dating back to the nineteenth century. At the Mercedes-Benz Museum at Mercedesstraße 100, you can immerse yourself in more than 135 years of automotive and Mercedes-Benz brand history, from day one to the present day. It documents automotive and contemporary history from the world's first patented car to the hydrogen-powered vehicles of the future. A futuristic elevator design takes you up to 34 meters for a journey back in time, starting with the pioneering invention of the automobile by Gottlieb Daimler and Carl Benz. The museum also houses a Mercedes-Benz Shop where you can indulge in personalized shopping.
9. Weissenhof Museum

The Weissenhof estate in Stuttgart, created under the artistic direction of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, bears witness to the Bauhaus architectural style for residential use for the city's inhabitants at Rathenaustraße 1-3. The houses are all very close to each other. Of the original 21 houses, eleven are still existing and occupied. After a renovation, Le Corbusier House has been open to the public since 2006, offering insights into its history and the architecture of Le Corbusier (1887-1965). The panoramic view of Stuttgart from the roof terrace of the building, designed by Le Corbusier, is very special. Since July 2016, the two Le Corbusier Houses have been UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
10. SWR Television Tower

The TV tower is located at Jahnstraße 120 and is one of the most significant cultural monuments in the Stuttgart region. From the observation deck, built on two floors at a height of 150 meters, you can enjoy beautiful views. No other location in Stuttgart offers such a wide view of the Neckar Valley with its green hills full of vineyards, the Swabian Plateau and the Black Forest. At 217 meters high, the Stuttgart TV Tower built in reinforced concrete is the original and iconic model for all television towers in the world.
