Brussels Airlines is owned by SN Airholding and, in 2009, Lufthansa acquired 45% of the company's shares.
Since 2009, Brussels Airlines is a member of Star Alliance, the largest airline alliance in the world.
A fleet of aircraft connects the capital of Europe, Brussels, in over 90 European, African and US destinations.
It also offers a transatlantic service directed to three destinations in North America (New York JFK, Washington DC and Toronto) and one in India (Mumbai) and, with its intercontinental partners, also guarantees long-haul flights to the United Arab Emirates, the China, Thailand and other destinations in North America.
Long-haul flights are operated with Airbus A330-200 and A330-300 while European routes are operated mainly with Airbus A319-320.
