George Best Belfast City Airport is a single-runway airport in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The airport is located in County Down, adjacent to Belfast Port and approximately 3 miles (4.8 km) from Belfast city centre.
The airport began commercial operations in 1983. Previously known as Belfast City Airport, the George Best name was added in 2006 in memory of the Belfast professional footballer.
The airport offers flights to several European destinations and serves as a regional base for Aer Lingus and British Airways, who operate the majority of flights, along with other airlines such as easyjet.
The airport offers all the necessary services for passengers, as well as shops, restaurants, bars, a duty free shop and a lounge at Departures.

Train
NI Railways connects Belfast City Airport with the rest of Northern Ireland. Passengers arriving at Belfast City Airport can board a train at Sydenham station, a short walk along the Sydenham Bypass from the terminal building, and travel to Belfast Central Station or Great Victoria Street Station. Both stations are a short train journey from Belfast City Airport and from these central rail hubs there are connections to various locations throughout Northern Ireland or the South of Ireland.
If travelling to Belfast City Airport by train, it is recommended that you alight at Sydenham train station and walk a short distance along the Sydenham Bypass to the terminal building. Train services run regularly from Sydenham train station during peak times.
A courtesy bus is available to transport passengers to and from the terminal free of charge and can be requested from the bus and coach stop on the left as you exit the terminal building. At Sydenham train station there is a footbridge which passengers must cross to/from the airport (not recommended for passengers with limited mobility).
Bus
Belfast City Airport has a bus service (Airport Express 600) that takes passengers every 30 minutes during peak hours from the front of the terminal building to Europa Bus Station in the city centre. The journey takes approximately 10 minutes.
Tickets are available from the Visit Belfast desk in the main concourse, from ticket machines in the bus shelter area or from the driver on board. Translink has introduced contactless payment on board with a credit card.

Car
Via the A12 for 3.5 miles in 13 minutes to reach the city of Belfast.
