Faro Airport, FAO

Faro Airport is located in Portugal in the small town of Montenegro, about 7 km west of the city of Faro, and is the second busiest airport in Portugal after Lisbon-Portela Airport.

Opened in 1965, it has been recently renovated, offering larger spaces, additional passenger services, greater aircraft capacity and a modernization of the runway and parking lots. ANA-Aeroportos de Portugal, SA is the company that manages Faro airport and other airports in Portugal (Lisbon, Porto, Beja), in the Azores (Ponta Delgada, Horta, Santa Maria and Flores) and Madeira (Madeira and Porto Santo).
In 2013 ANA-Aeroportos integrated VINCI Airports, which manages a wide network of airports all over the world: France, Cambodia, Chile, Japan, the Dominican Republic, Brazil.
