Tbilisi International Airport is the main international airport of Georgia and is located about 17 km from the capital Tbilisi.
The airport's first terminal dates back to 1952 and was built by the architect V. Beridze. The new Arrivals Terminal was inaugurated in 2017.
Tbilisi International Airport is operated by TAV which also operates Batumi Airport in Georgia.

Transport to/from the airport
Train
The Tbilisi airport train station, located 70 meters from the airport building, is the cheapest and easiest means of transport since it connects Tbilisi Central Station with the airport. With the train station you can reach the airport in 40 minutes.
Bus
The public bus stop is located in front of the arrivals hall and provides passenger transport on route Airport - Tbilisi - Airport. Hours: 24/7.
Car
By car the fastest route to/from the airport and the center of Tbilisi is via Europe St, Kakheti Hwy and Kakabeti St, towards Kvareli St, for about 18 km in 25 minutes.
Taxi
Taxis are available outside the airport terminal.
