One of the most famous and romantic islands in the world.
High-speed boats take 50 minutes to travel from Naples’ Beverello Port to the Island of Capri. The upper part of the island is connected by funicular train or panoramic road which offers a wonderful view of the Gulf of Naples. The Gardens of Augustus, which offer a vista of the Faraglioni (stacks) and Marina Piccola below, are reached in just a few minutes from Piazza Umberto I, with its beautiful Church of S. Stefano.

Near the Gardens, you can visit the Carthusian Monastery (14th century) and then, along Via Krupp, travel to the bay of Marina Piccola and its delightful little beaches, which include Torre Saracena (Saracen Tower) and Scoglio delle Sirene (Mermaids’ Rock) in just 20 minutes. A boat trip will give you a close-up view of other wonders, such as the Blue Grotto and the Faraglioni.
