The first outfitted Gulfstream G800 takes flight
Take-off for cabin interior testing: a crucial step in validating both the design and performance of the ultra-long-range jet
Gulfstream's G800 offers a perfect blend of exceptional performance, cutting-edge technology and an unparalleled travel experience for business aviation. Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. recently announced the first flight of the Gulfstream G800 dedicated to cabin interior testing, a crucial step in validating both the design and performance of the best-performing jet in terms of range in the industry. This new milestone represents the manufacturer's commitment to ensuring an exceptional travel experience, focusing on comfort, reliability and personalization for passengers.
The first flight of the G800 lasted 1 hour and 41 minutes. During the flight, the jet reached an altitude of 46,000 feet (about 14,021 meters) and a top speed of Mach 0.91. The aircraft joins the other two aircraft already engaged in the certification test program. In the coming months, the G800 will undergo rigorous testing, which will include repeated operations of the systems in different flight conditions, extended missions, night flights, and tests in extreme heat, cold and turbulence environments.

Cabin features: comfort and elegance at the top
The G800 stands out for its extremely versatile and innovative cab, designed to meet even the most sophisticated needs. Key features include:
► Next-generation Ultra-galley: Large spaces for food and beverage preparation, with high-end appliances, advanced refrigeration and plenty of storage space.
► Modular living zones: configurable up to four distinct areas, accommodating up to 19 passengers and offering beds for 10 people.
► Space dedicated to the crew: to ensure comfort for the crew as well.
► 100% fresh air, never recirculated, purified by a plasma ionization system.
► Lowest cabin altitude in business aviation, which reduces passenger fatigue.
► Extremely low noise levels.
► Natural lighting from 16 large Gulfstream oval panoramic windows, the largest in the industry.
Unmatched efficiency and reduced environmental impact
The G800 is the Gulfstream aircraft with the longest range ever designed: it can fly 8,000 nautical miles (about 14,816 km) at Mach 0.85, or 7,000 nautical miles (about 12,964 km) at Mach 0.90. This exceptional achievement is combined with superior fuel efficiency and a lower carbon footprint compared to aircraft in the same class. Thanks to the common features with the recently certified G700, the G800 benefits from an extensive technological heritage and an extremely comprehensive testing program. The G800 is equipped with the award-winning Gulfstream Symmetry Flight Deck, which includes the industry's first active control sidesticks and extensive use of touch-screen technology. Among the innovations is the new Combined Vision System (CVS), which integrates images from the Enhanced Flight Vision System (EFVS) and the Synthetic Vision System (SVS), projected on a dual head-up display (HUD).
