The future of business aviation at the MEBAA Show 2024 in Dubai
The tenth edition of the event confirms Dubai's role as a global hub of business aviation, with record attendance, strategic collaborations and sustainable innovations
The MEBAA Show 2024 has successfully concluded at the Al Maktoum International - Dubai World Central (DWC), recording the participation of over 10,000 international visitors from more than 100 countries, 145 exhibitors and a spectacular static display of over 30 aircraft, including numerous iconic business jets. The three-day event brought together global leaders, innovators and visionaries to shape the future of business aviation.

The first day saw the inauguration of the tenth edition with the arrival of global leaders and prominent figures in the sector. Ali Ahmed Alnaqbi, Founding President and Executive Chairman of MEBAA, emphasized the importance of the event. During the day, the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) of the United Arab Emirates presented the Golden Package, a revolutionary package for the registration and management of private and corporate aircraft, in line with the country's Vision 2031. This new package aims to streamline processes, increase flexibility, and strengthen the Emirates' position as a global hub for excellence in aviation.

The second day focused on strategic agreements and sustainable innovations. Key announcements include:
► RoyalJet and Airbus Corporate Jets have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the purchase of three ACJ320neos, with an option for six more aircraft, consolidating their commitment to the business aviation market.
► Honeywell has announced a collaboration with Sino Jet to develop new technologies and expand aviation services.
► Ayla Aviation LLC has unveiled a pioneering partnership with Satpelda Satellite Imagery to improve safety and operational efficiency through satellite technologies.

The BizAv Talks program featured keynote speeches from leaders such as Rolland Vincent, Director of JETNET iQ, who launched the report "Future casting BizAv: Key trends and forecasts." Vincent highlighted:
► The UAE as one of the top 20 global markets for business aviation, with activity three times higher than the regional GDP.
► A 30% increase in private jet flights compared to 2019, with over 5.1 million global flights in 2024.
The day also included a panel on changes in the business aviation industry, with discussions on alternative fuels such as Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), new fleet strategies and emerging business models.
The final day of the MEBAA Show culminated with the NextGen Leaders program, an interactive initiative dedicated to students to explore careers in business aviation. Ali Alnaqbi opened the session with insights into opportunities in the industry, followed by a panel of HR leaders from companies such as Lufthansa Technik and LunaJets, who offered practical advice and shared personal experiences.

Other highlights include:
► An exclusive panel titled "Trade Secrets and Insights for Aircraft Owners," where industry experts such as Chad Anderson (Jetcraft) and Nadav Kessler (Asian Sky Group) analyzed the prospects for the private jet market.
► The static display of over 30 aircraft, enriched by the debut of the Luxury Boulevard (sponsored by Falcon), a space dedicated to the most prestigious luxury brands, sponsored by Falcon.
The static exhibition was one of the highlights of the MEBAA Show, featuring 30 aircraft from major names such as Airbus Corporate Jets, Boeing Business Jets, Bombardier, Dassault Aviation, Embraer, Gulfstream, Textron, RoyalJet, Qatar Executive, VISTA, Falcon, Comlux, Aloula Aviation, and more.
The MEBAA Show 2024 demonstrated a commitment to sustainability and innovation, with platforms such as the Startup Hub and the Advanced Air Mobility pavilion, highlighting cutting-edge technologies such as eVTOLs. Networking programs such as the Operators Programme and the Platinum Guest Programme have fostered the creation of new strategic partnerships and collaborations. The announcements and initiatives presented at the event set new standards for the industry, demonstrating how Dubai continues to cement itself as a global hub for business aviation.
