Jaguar Classic E-type Commemorative
The convertible celebrates the iconic sports car and marks 50 years since the end of production of the E-type in 1974. The exclusive collector's automotive jewel was made in only two pieces with handmade finishes. Jaguar Classic has teamed up with luxury jewellery designers Deakin & Francis to adorn the interior
Fifty years after the last Jaguar E-type rolled off the production line, two exclusive models of the extremely rare Jaguar Classic E-type Series I Commemorative have been created for a customer in Southeast Asia, in honour of this iconic sports car. Each model pays homage to the history of the E-type, from the initial designs to the latest models of the III Series. The two beautiful vehicles, embellished with new and precious details, represent the best of the bespoke creations in Jaguar Classic's Works Bespoke programme, celebrating the style and sophistication of the original.

The two Jaguar Classic E-type Commemorative models complete the history of the E-type, drawing inspiration from the last 50 Commemorative Edition models produced in 1974. They will be the only two models of its kind to leave the Jaguar Classic workshop, representing the pinnacle of the essence of the E-type, with unique hand-built specifications that make them a unique collector's item. Every detail, interior and exterior, is meticulously curated by Jaguar Classic's experts, with updates orchestrated with precision over 2,000 hours of work.

The two Jaguar Classic E-type Commemorative are both convertibles, made in unique versions: one in Signet Green and the other in Opal Black, updates to the original 1974 colourways. The elegant exterior is accompanied by a timeless interior, with Bridge of Weir light leather seats, woven and hand-stitched in the Jaguar Classic workshop, with matching black and tan leather trim. This refined woven finish has never been offered by Jaguar Classic before and combines traditional skills and aesthetic inspiration with contemporary styling.

Inside, custom elements enhance the design, such as the anodized aluminum center console, which features a unique engraving of an authentic E-type I-Series design from the archives. This design was previously on display at the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) in New York alongside the E-type, and the anodised aluminium of the centre console has become a hallmark of every E-type produced by Jaguar Classic.

What sets the Jaguar Classic E-type Commemorative apart are the jewels created by Deakin & Francis that adorn the interior and exterior of each model. This former English jeweler, active since 1786, has been making handcrafted masterpieces for seven generations. The collaboration brings together passionate artisans with ties to the territory: each E-type Commemorative is enriched with mother-of-pearl, solid silver with trademark and 18-carat gold details. On the front, the badge with the motif is finished in silver with mother-of-pearl guilloche and the Growler icon in 18K gold, while on the back, the badges are in enameled sterling silver. Inside, the horn button on the steering wheel is finished in silver with the Growler icon in 18K gold and mother-of-pearl inlays, while the sterling silver gear lever is decorated with mother-of-pearl and 18K gold details. The attention to detail extends to the instrument panel controls, finished in knurled silver with hallmarked silver frames. The same detail can be found on the key cover, finished in silver with mother-of-pearl and matching 18-karat gold.

Under the elegant bonnet of each E-type Commemorative is the famous 3.8-litre engine, now equipped with electronic fuel injection and a five-speed Jaguar Classic manual gearbox. To make the vehicles even more suitable for use in the 21st century, they have been fitted with a discreet Jaguar Classic Bluetooth radio and heated windscreen, offering modern comforts while retaining all the character and authenticity of an E-type's interior. Excellent craftsmanship thus offers the most demanding customers a unique experience of its kind, driving extraordinarily rare, unparalleled classic, collector's vehicles.
