Exteta x Riva: nautical art for living
The collaboration between Exteta and Riva has resulted in a co-branded collection that celebrates excellence, combining the savoir-faire and sophisticated aesthetics of two iconic brands in a project that reinterprets the nautical lifestyle in a living key. A meeting of excellence, a synergy between manufacturing art and design, which gives life to a line of outdoor furniture with a unique and unmistakable character.
Exteta x Riva is much more than just a collection: it is a manifesto of contemporary elegance inspired by the nautical universe. Signed by designer Massimo Castagna, this collection embodies the most authentic soul of Riva, drawing inspiration from over 180 years of history and unmistakable style. Each element tells of a tradition that was born in 1842 in Sarnico (Bergamo) and that has accompanied generations of enthusiasts through the myth of the dolce vita, up to a present in which innovation, customization and design come together in harmony.
The meeting with Exteta takes place in the name of absolute quality: the company has been able to elevate the concept of outdoor living thanks to fine materials, craftsmanship and tailor-made design solutions. In Exteta x Riva, the elegance of Riva's iconic boats translates into an aesthetic and functional experience for outdoor life, capable of reinterpreting marine charm in residential contexts or on board luxury yachts.
The collection stands out for its versatility and sophistication. Seats, upholstery, tables, accessories and complements define environments designed to naturally welcome moments of conviviality and relaxation. The materials are the real protagonists: Sapelli mahogany, polished and masterfully worked according to the canons of high nautical carpentry and stainless steel, which gives brilliant and modern touches.
The sofas, with their sculptural lines and generous volumes, seem to be suspended, thanks to the light feet that lift them from the ground with elegance. The modularity allows for tailor-made compositions, while the customisation is reflected in the armrests: upholstered, with a soft curve, or in wood, wide and elongated, evoking the sinuous lines of the decks of Riva yachts. This stylistic code is also found in the lounge armchair and in the director's chair, with a more essential design, which combines comfort and lightness thanks to deep and upholstered seats.
The perfect balance between wood and metal is also found in the dining tables, available in two sizes, and in the coffee tables, characterized by wooden tops with parallel slats that refer to the details of nautical hulls. A further note of style is given by the wireless stainless steel lamp, designed to discreetly illuminate the rooms, completing any composition with elegance.
Exteta x Riva is an ode to the sea, beauty and the art of living, where design blends with tradition in a new form of luxury without borders, capable of transforming any outdoor space into a refuge of style and harmony.
The collection is on display from 8 to 13 April at the Exteta Flagship Store in via Turati 6 in Milan and at the Exteta Stand at the Salone del Mobile.
