The new Portugal Duty Free

A renewed shopping experience that celebrates Portuguese culture through innovative design, local products and international brands

ARI, in partnership with ANA/VINCI Airports, recently opened renovated Portugal Duty Free stores at eight airports in Portugal, including Lisbon, Porto, Faro, Madeira and the Azores. This ambitious project, launched in June 2022, has transformed nearly 10,000 square meters of retail space, offering travelers a unique shopping experience that embodies the essence of the "Portugalidade" while celebrating the country's landscape, art, heritage and gastronomy.

Each store has a distinctive identity that reflects the vibrancy of its locality. For example, Lisbon Duty Free at Lisbon Airport is home to a replica of the famous Tram 28, while Faro Duty Free features a vintage Volkswagen California Camper Van, creating ideal photo spots for passengers and offering a selection of local souvenirs.

The commitment to promoting local products is evident with over 1,000 Portuguese-made items, many of which are exclusive to Portugal Duty Free stores

The in-store concept "Sabores de Portugal" celebrates Portuguese cuisine, including the famous Pasteis de Nata, delivered daily to the airport. In addition, the "Port Cellar" area offers a selection of more than 230 local port wines in an environment reminiscent of an authentic wine cellar.

Alongside local products, the international offer has been expanded with the introduction of prestigious brands such as Charlotte Tilbury, Le Labo, Sol de Janeiro and Creed, the latter exclusively for Portugal. Significant innovations include the Pre-Loved boutique at Lisbon Duty Free, dedicated to pre-owned luxury fashion accessories; an expanded Victoria's Secret store; and a new Lego Store, inviting passengers of all ages to explore the Lego universe.

Sustainability has been a key element in the renovations, with the introduction of an "Eco" area in Lisbon Duty Free, which houses over 100 sustainable products, offering travelers eco-friendly options ranging from water bottles to stationery and souvenirs.

These renovations represent a new standard of excellence in airport retail, offering passengers an immersive shopping experience that celebrates Portugal's rich culture and tradition, while meeting the needs of the modern traveler.
