The region is home to wonderful islands such as Comacina Island, Cypress Island, Montisola, San Biagio Island and Virginia Island
Lombardy is a fascinating region, renowned for its abundance of lakes that create unique and enchanting views. Among its water attractions, there are wonderful islands surrounded by lush vegetation, which recall images of exotic holidays.

Comacina Island, a green oasis in Lake Como, is a jewel accessible by boat from Ossuccio, in the municipality of Tremezzina. With a history dating back to Roman times, the island is famous for the Romanesque Basilica of St. Euphemia complex and offers fireworks displays on the water during the feast of St. John.
In the heart of Lake Pusiano, the Isola dei Cipressi is an ideal place for relaxing walks in nature, surrounded by peacocks, cranes, storks, turtles and squirrels. This green corner is perfect for regenerating yourself immersed in tranquility.

Montisola, located in Lake Iseo and made famous by Christo's installation "Floating Piers" in 2016, is a verdant island where cars are prohibited. It is perfect for trekking through woods and olive groves, with the possibility of reaching the Sanctuary of Ceriola, at an altitude of 600 meters, from which you can enjoy a spectacular view of the lake.

On Lake Garda, the Island of San Biagio, also known as Isola dei Conigli, is famous for its green meadows and the rabbits that roam freely. It is a great place to swim in the clear waters, sunbathe and admire the Rocca di Manerba. The island is accessible on foot, when conditions permit, through a strip of seabed, or by taxi-boat from Porto Torchio.

Finally, in Lombardy, the Isolino Virginia in Lake Varese is a fascinating triangle of land in the Municipality of Biandronno, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2011 for its archaeological and environmental value.
