Birmingham Airport is located 10.2 km south east of the city of Birmingham, in the county of West Midlands in England. It is the sixth busiest airport in the United Kingdom.
The airport is a hub for several airlines, offering routes within the United Kingdom, international flights to major cities in Europe, the Indian Subcontinent, the Middle East, the United States and the Caribbean. The airport consists of two terminals (1 and 2) linked together. There is a free monorail (Air-Rail Link) that connects the train station to the airport in about 2 minutes, suffering from the top floor of Terminal 1. Many regional and intercity train arriving at the station and the airport is, among other things, a direct connection to London Euston.

Birmingham Airport is directly connected to over 100 towns and cities via Birmingham International Station and the 'Air-Rail Link' monorail system. The Air-Rail Link is free and operates between 05:15 and 02:00 daily. Rail services operate regularly from Birmingham International to a range of destinations (London Euston, Birmingham New Street, Wolverhampton, Manchester Piccadilly, Bournemouth, Northampton, Coventry, Shrewsbury, Aberystwyth, Pwllheli, Machynlleth, Holyhead) by a number of operators (including Virgin Trains, Cross Country, London Midland, Arriva Trains Wales).
Buses to/from the Airport link Birmingham and Coventry, Solihull and Erdington, Hams Hall, Coleshill Parkway. Black cabs operate a 24-hour service from directly outside the arrivals area of the terminal buildings. All cabs accept major credit cards and are the only cabs licensed to operate from the Airport without prior booking.
