SEA Prime at NBAA-BACE 2023 in Las Vegas
Traffic growth consolidates, confirming Milan's business aviation European leading position. Launch in 2024 of the first incentive program for the use of SAF
SEA Prime, which with the Milano Prime brand is the first business aviation airport operator in Italy and among the leading ones in Europe, is participating in NBAA-BACE 2023 - a landmark business aviation event taking place in Las Vegas from October 17th to 19th.
This year, Milano Prime exhibits in Las Vegas (stand C7020) strong on the accomplishments achieved in the first nine months of 2023, when about 26,500 business aviation movements were managed, (+3,4% vs 2022) with international flights accounting for 70% of the traffic managed at Milan's airports.
"Our ongoing commitment to sustainable infrastructural and service development, together with our partners and stakeholders, consolidates our leading position in Italy and Europe in the management of business aviation airports. After the newly inaugurated Hangar X, we are actively working on further development opportunities targeting the 2026 Olympics, another milestone for the city of Milan”, commented Chiara Dorigotti, CEO of SEA Prime.
In addition, after the announcement of the first SAF refueling at Linate Prime at the end of 2022 and consistently the Group's initiative to promote the use and supply of aviation biofuels, SEA Prime is planning to launch the first SAF incentives program for business aviation in Europe, offering to qualifying operators a contribution between Euro 500 to Euro 1.000 per ton of "pure SAF" purchased and used, blended with fossil fuel, at Milano Prime airports during 2024, to cover part of the extra cost that still characterizes SAF compared to conventional fuel. SAF, by reducing CO2 emissions from the use of fossil fuels by up to 90%, is currently the most immediate and concrete answer to lowering them, making SEA Prime's contribution a tangible support to business aviation operators who share the same commitment.
Moreover, infrastructural and service development projects continue, after the opening of the new Hangar X at Linate Prime in May now operating at full capacity as an expansion of the maintenance capability of Directional Aviation through Sirio SpA, in anticipation of the traffic peak foreseen during the Milan-Cortina 2026 Olympics.
