SEA Prime encourages the use of biofuels
A contribution of €1,000 for each tonne of pure Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) for the refuelling of business aviation aircraft in the Prime terminals of Linate and Malpensa by 2024
SEA Prime has announced the launch of the first European contribution program for the use of biofuels in Business Aviation. This project, active in the Prime terminals of Linate and Malpensa, provides for the disbursement of a contribution of 1,000 euros for each ton of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) used for aircraft refueling by 2024, with the aim of encouraging the adoption of sustainable solutions.
The program is part of the implementation of the Refuel EU regulation scheduled for 2025, and aims to reduce the environmental impact of aviation through the reduction of CO2 emissions. The conditions for joining the program can be found on the Milano Prime website in the "Corporate" section. SAF represents an immediate and effective response to the reduction of carbon emissions in the aviation industry and SEA Prime's commitment aligns with global decarbonization goals, with the prospect of achieving climate neutrality by 2050.
In addition, during Milan Fashion Week 2024, Milano Prime terminals handled peaks of 140 daily movements, highlighting the importance of Business Aviation during major international events such as Milan Fashion Week.
