The lucky ones selected will be able to obtain an exclusive contract with the agency, famous for launching models that have appeared in Vogue and for major fashion brands.

The catwalk was inaugurated yesterday at Terminal 5, where the MiLK Collective scouts, known for their focus on diversity and individuality, sought out people of all ages with a unique style and distinctive personality. During the event, passengers waiting for friends and family gathered in the front row, witnessing a surprise fashion show featuring models from the agency wearing haute couture outfits combined with travel accessories such as sleeping masks and suitcases.

The initiative comes at a busy time for Heathrow, which has just ended its busiest summer with more than 30 million passengers since June. During Fashion Week, the airport expects the arrival of about 1.75 million people, including many fashion professionals, designers and brands from destinations such as Milan, Paris, Shanghai, New York and Dubai.

The search for new talent will continue with a second scouting event on 13 September, the first day of London Fashion Week, at Terminal 5 at London Heathrow Airport. This project follows a long tradition of models discovered at airports, such as Kate Moss, first noticed at just 14 years old at New York's JFK Airport. The most popular destinations for Heathrow passengers this fall include New York, Dubai, Doha, Los Angeles and Dublin.

Aspiring models have the chance to 'take off' from the airport while passengers looking to get into the Fashion Week spirit can shop at airport boutiques such as Burberry or Reiss, brands that make Heathrow the ultimate destination for pre-show shopping.
