SACBO and HNH Hospitality together for the new Hilton Garden Inn Bergamo Airport
The new hotel will be built within the airport area with work starting in January 2025 and opening scheduled for 2026
SACBO, the company that manages Milan Bergamo Airport, has signed a strategic partnership with HNH Hospitality, one of Italy's leading independent operators in the high-end hotel sector. The agreement provides for the management of the new Hilton Garden Inn Bergamo Airport, an ambitious project that will be built within the airport area with work starting in January 2025 and opening scheduled for 2026.
A hotel designed for every type of traveler
The new Hilton Garden Inn Bergamo Airport will be a modern and versatile structure, equipped with 180 rooms designed with cutting-edge technologies to meet the needs of both leisure and business travelers. Guests can take advantage of:
- A lobby open 24 hours a day, designed to offer comfort and convenience.
- A welcoming restaurant and bar, perfect for relaxing moments, informal meetings or business dinners.
The hotel's strategic location, directly connected to Milan Bergamo Airport, which will close 2024 with over 17 million passengers, will ensure an ideal choice for those looking for comfort and quality during their trip.
An ambitious project and a long-term partnership
The agreement between SACBO and HNH Hospitality provides for a long-term lease, with the hotel operating under the prestigious Hilton Garden Inn brand. This partnership represents an important addition to HNH Hospitality's portfolio in northern Italy and marks a further step in the company's growth strategy in the luxury and upscale hotel segment.
Investments for the future: quality and sustainability
The construction of the hotel is part of SACBO's Airport Development Plan for the four-year period 2023-2027, which envisages total investments of over 200 million euros. This plan includes the upgrading of airport infrastructure, improvements in services and a focus on sustainability.
The new hotel, which will require an investment of about 30 million euros, will be built by Gencantieri, a company also in charge of the redevelopment of the adjacent areas. The structure will be a key element in supporting the activities of Milan Bergamo Airport, responding to the needs of national and international travelers in an increasingly global context.

"SACBO has chosen HNH Hospitality, one of the most important Italian groups in the hospitality sector, for its management, helping to increase the prestige of the hospitality services that Milan Bergamo Airport reserves for its passengers. The structure will offer a series of services, from the airport information desk to luggage storage, up to the connection to and from the airport via a dedicated shuttle . The hotel's presence in the airport's service area is part of a strategy of accessibility and interchange that refers to the development of multimodality, which will be completed with the construction of the railway connection," said Giovanni Sanga, President of SACBO.
"We are excited about this new structure which, in addition to consolidating our offer in Northern Italy with another important destination, expands our portfolio to the important segment of airport hotels. The trust that SACBO has placed in us and in the project and the new partnership with Hilton are a source of great satisfaction and pride. We aim once again, in the development of this asset, to be innovative and efficient," said Luca Boccato, CEO of HNH Hospitality. While Alan Mantin, Vice President of Development, Southern Europe at Hilton, pointed out that Hilton has been present in Italy for over 60 years and the Hilton Garden Inn Bergamo Airport is strategically close to a major transportation hub and this new property represents another step forward in offering sophisticated and convenient lodging experiences.
