Aeroitalia inaugurates the new Rome Fiumicino - Lublin route

The new direct air connection Rome - Lublin operated by Aeroitalia represents an important step forward in connectivity between Italy and eastern Poland. The route will operate with two weekly frequencies, on Tuesday mornings and Saturday afternoons, for a total of about 11,700 seats available until the end of the summer season.

The activation of the new air route was born within the framework of the Memorandum of Collaboration signed between the Lazio Region and the Lublin Voivodeship, aimed at strengthening cultural, economic and institutional ties between the two European realities. This agreement takes the form of a mobility project that promotes the development of tourism and bilateral exchanges.

The inaugural event took place in the presence of Italian and Polish authorities, representatives of institutions, industry operators and the press. Federico Scriboni, Director of Aviation Business Development of Aeroporti di Roma, welcomed the event, followed by the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Italy, Ryszard Schnepf. Massimo Di Perna, Chief Commercial Officer of Aeroitalia, the Hon. Alessandro Palombi, member of the Parliamentary Commission for Regional Issues, Cons. Flavio Cera, President of the I Commission of the Lazio Regional Council, and Fabrizio Ghera, Councillor for Mobility and Transport of the Lazio Region, who closed the proceedings.

The first official flight of the new Aeroitalia route took off last Saturday, March 22, recording an excellent response from passengers, a sign of the strong interest in a destination that is still little known but very rich in history, culture and attractions.
