Emirates and Costa Cruises renew partnership until 2027
Perfectly coordinated flights and cruises to strengthen Dubai as a global hub of maritime tourism
Emirates and Costa Cruises have extended their strategic partnership until 2027, further cementing Dubai's role as the leading international cruise hub. Costa Cruises, active in Dubai Harbour since 2006, will deploy its latest generation flagship, Costa Toscana, for the 2025/26 winter season, offering an increasingly integrated and seamless travel experience.
An unparalleled travel experience
The announcement of the renewal of the partnership was made during the ITB in Berlin and builds on twenty years of successful collaboration between the two companies, with the aim of improving the passenger experience and strengthening Dubai as a cruise destination of excellence. The plan includes:
- Coordination between flights and cruises to ensure smooth connections between airports and boarding terminals.
- Development of joint marketing strategies to attract travelers from major international markets.
- Dedicated "Cruise blocks" with flights designed specifically for cruise passengers, maximizing comfort and availability.
Exclusive services and optimized transport solutions
To ensure a smooth experience, Emirates and Costa Cruises will collaborate on the sharing of data and strategic information to improve the quality of services and optimize check-in times. In addition, transportation solutions between Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Dubai Harbour Cruise Terminal will be enhanced, further simplifying passenger transit.
A concrete example of this synergy is the presence of 12 Emirates check-in counters at Dubai Harbour, allowing disembarked passengers to check in up to 4 hours before flight departure. This allows them to explore the city without luggage, and then reach the airport without having to deal with long waits at the checkpoints.
Looking ahead, Emirates and Costa Cruises are considering extending the partnership beyond Dubai to include other destinations in the Costa Cruises network, such as Central and South America, the Far East and Southeast Asia. The agreement was signed by Nabil Sultan (Executive Vice President Passenger Sales and Country Management) for Emirates Airline and Daniel Caprile (Vice President Pricing & Revenue Management, Itinerary & Transportation) for Costa Cruises, underlining the common ambition to offer an even more seamless and connected travel experience, uniting sea, air and land in a single, extraordinary adventure.
