Flights for Costa cruise passengers departing from Liguria take off
The countdown is on for the departure of the new charter flights dedicated to passengers departing for a Costa cruise from Genoa and Savona.
The season will be inaugurated on Friday 25 April by the Amsterdam - Genoa connection, operated by Corendon on behalf of the Dutch tour operator Stip Reizen. This flight will accompany holidaymakers heading aboard Costa Smeralda, moored every Friday in the Ligurian capital for the weekly cruise in the western Mediterranean. The service will be active until 27 June and will resume from 5 September to 24 October, for a total of 18 rotations and about 7,600 passengers expected.
On Sunday 4 May, it will be the turn of the first weekly Condor flight from Düsseldorf to Genoa, dedicated to German cruise passengers departing from Savona on the Tuscan Coast. Operating until 19 October, this connection will bring around 9,000 guests with 25 round-trip flights.
Passengers on Condor flights will also be able to take advantage of the early check-in service and convenient baggage transfer: the suitcases will be checked directly at the departure airport and delivered to the cabin on the ship, and vice versa on the return.
With a total estimate of 16,500 passengers, the partnership between Genoa Airport and Costa Cruises confirms the strategic importance of the Ligurian capital as a hub for international cruise tourism .
