Belfast International Airport is located approximately 21 km northwest of Belfast, Northern Ireland, and is the main airport for the city of Belfast. Until 1983, it was known as Aldergrove Airport, named after the nearby town of Aldergrove in County Antrim.
Most flights to and from Belfast International Airport are operated by low-cost airlines easyJet and Ryanair, which offer flights to several European destinations.
The airport has all the necessary services for passengers, as well as shops, bars, restaurants and a duty free shop. Belfast Airport is owned by Vinci Airports (formerly ADC & HAS) and is also the airport operator.

Bus and coach services are available from the front of the terminal and run to Belfast, Lisburn and Londonderry. All three bus terminals provide access to an extensive Northern Ireland and international public transport network. Translink is Northern Ireland's public transport provider.
