Lagardère Travel Retail operates shops and restaurants at Belfast Airport

New shopping and dining spaces at Northern Ireland's largest airport
Lagardère Travel Retail has signed a contract with Belfast International Airport, part of the VINCI Airports network, for the management of the retail and Food & Beverage areas, following a competitive tender. This agreement represents an important milestone in the collaboration between Lagardère Travel Retail and VINCI Airports, with the aim of improving the passenger experience and enhancing the airport's commercial offering.

A renewed travel experience
With a doubled floor area and over 1,600 square meters, the new space will host a wide selection of Duty Free, Travel Essentials and Food & Beverage. Among the novelties:
► international brands such as Rituals and Miniso, present for the first time at the airport,
► new Whiskey Apothecary concept, with local distilleries such as McConnell's, Bushmills and Boatyard,
partnership with Tourism Northern Ireland, to enhance local heritage through the Northern Ireland Spirits Trail,
immersive experiences, with tastings of local and global products in a dedicated tasting bar.

An innovative and interactive format
To engage airport passengers, the new retail space will include interactive "Hotspots", with thematic selections of beauty, fashion and local gastronomy. In addition, the walkthrough Transition Zone, designed in collaboration with the airport, will guide travellers through the Duty Free area, enriched by spaces dedicated to Minisio, Discover Belfast, Tech2Go and fashion and travel accessories shop-in-shops.

This initiative is part of Belfast International Airport's (BFS) wider development plan, aimed at improving the passenger experience and strengthening the link with the territory. The new spaces are scheduled to open in April 2025 and will bring the total number of stores managed by Lagardère Travel Retail in the UK and Ireland to 26 points of sale including Duty Free, Travel Essentials and Food & Beverage.
