Zurich Airport is the most important civil airport in Switzerland and is among the largest in Europe. It is managed by Flughafen Zürich AG and is located north of the city, 13 kilometers from the center of Zurich.

Transportation to/from the airport
Tram 
Glattalbahn tram service
The no. 10 tram runs every 7 or 15 minutes from the airport to Zurich's main railway station via Glattpark, Oerlikon and Irchel.
The no. 12 tram runs from the airport to Stettbach Station via Glattbrugg and Wallisellen Station. It runs every 15 minutes and offers interchange options for destinations across the network. The no. 12 tram provides a comfortable and inexpensive service through the Glatt valley. 
 
Bus
Bus and Postbus routes connect the main municipalities in the Glatt valley, Zürcher Unterland and Zurich Oerlikon regions to the airport. Departures range from every 10 minutes to hourly.

Car
 
Taxi 
The airport taxi ranks are located in front of Arrivals 1 and 2. Official airport taxis can be identified by the illuminated "Airport Taxi" sign.

At the airport there are the following car rental company: Avis, Budget, Dollar/Thrifty, Enterprise, Europcar, Hertz and Sixt.
