Zurich Airport lights up for Christmas

 

 

In parallel, the main square of The Circle is transformed into a Christmas village, dominated by a majestic nine-meter-high Christmas tree, the "Sparkling Tree", adorned with about 1,500 mirrored spheres that light up every hour from 17:00. The characteristic surrounding houses offer winter specialties such as raclette, processed cheeses and hot drinks, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors.

 

For those looking for the perfect gift, Airport Shopping has a wide range of ideas, with shops open until late in the evening, including weekends and public holidays. From 17 to 26 December, a gift wrapping service is available on site, while St. Nicholas will make an appearance from 6 to 8 December, between 12:00 and 17:00, to the delight of the little ones.

 

 

The tradition continues with the concert of the Zurich Airport Orchestra, consisting of more than 20 musicians linked to the airport, who will perform on December 8 in Departure Hall 2, offering festive melodies that will enrich the Christmas atmosphere.

 

Aviation enthusiasts will be able to take special tours during the holidays, with guided tours and additional public tours scheduled on December 24-26 and December 31-January 2. On these dates, the Aviolino Bistro on Panoramic Terrace B will be open from 10:00 to 17:00, offering a refreshment point overlooking the slopes.
