Dior wellness nests in the trees of the Grand Hotel Timeo in Taormina

As part of the celebrations for the 150th anniversary of the Grand Hotel Timeo, A Belmond Hotel, Taormina, Belmond offers a new wellness experience in collaboration with Dior that has the legendary gardens of the iconic structure as a backdrop. During the summer until October, the hotel's historic park houses two Dior cabins nestled among the majestic cypress trees, where guests are offered exclusive wellness treatments in a green oasis overlooking the sea.

Over the past 150 years, numerous artists and writers have found meditative peace and inspiration in the six acres of the Timaeus Gardens, designed in the late 19th century by the English aristocrat Florence Trevelyan, a gardening enthusiast and pioneer in the field of botany. The Grand Hotel Timeo and Dior Spa recreate the same atmosphere by inviting guests to enjoy a moment of well-being in the lush enclave of the hotel.

Guests of the Grand Hotel Timeo who want to discover this unique experience are invited to climb a wooden staircase to access two sumptuous treatment cabins (one double and one single) surrounded by cypress trees. The cubes that contain them, all made of wood, are embellished with toile de jouy curtains in a shade that matches the green of the exterior.

The décor is inspired by the fauna and fragrant flora that envelop the pop-up spa: Maria Grazia Chiuri, creative director of Dior, has reinterpreted the iconic Dior fabric that adorns the cabins in a vibrant leaf green to recreate the feeling of fusion in harmony with the surrounding garden. Wallpaper that incorporates the toile de Jouy Dior pattern, bamboo chairs and lamps with a modern design with brushed brass finishes create an intimate and refined atmosphere.

Designed by Thirtyone Design + Management, both cabins have their own terrace, complete with sea view and adorned with greenery, where there is a fabric umbrella matching the interior décor and rattan armchairs, where guests can extend the wellness experience in absolute tranquility.

The facial and body care package draws on Dior's expertise and experience in the field of skin care and has been created to make the skin and senses bloom in the middle of summer.

Opened in 1873, exactly 150 years ago, the Grand Hotel Timeo soon became not only the very first hotel in Taormina, but also became famous for having made Taormina and Sicily known to the world.
