Doppio Malto opens at Venice Airport
2025 opens with a new strategic milestone for Doppio Malto, the Italian brand that combines craft brewery and experiential catering: a new venue was inaugurated on March 24 inside Venice Marco Polo Airport, in collaboration with Lagardère Travel Retail Italia.
The lagoon port thus welcomes a convivial space with 80 indoor and 50 outdoor seats, designed to offer travelers a quality break in the name of craft beer, genuine cuisine and a playful atmosphere.
After entering Terminal 1 at Rome Fiumicino in 2023, the collaboration with the Lagardère Group is consolidated, marking a further affirmation of the brand in places with high international turnout. The new Doppio Malto di Venezia re-proposes the winning format: informal environments, simple and tasty cuisine, beer produced internally and spaces also dedicated to children, to make the moment of stopover at the airport more pleasant and relaxing.
But the news does not stop there: in 2025 10 new openings are planned in Italy, including Monza, Pavia, Lucca, Rome, Rende, Pescara, Alessandria, Cagliari and Brenner Outlet. In Tuscany, the brand will debut in Lucca, in the spaces that were once Löwengrube.
Internationally, Doppio Malto will strengthen its presence in France with five new locations between direct management and franchising: Nice (Cap3000), Marseille, Montpellier, Toulouse and Laval.
The goal? To reach 100 active venues within three years, consolidating the brand's positioning in the European food & beverage scene and confirming its versatility in urban, commercial and transit contexts.
Born in Erba in 2004 (CO). The entry of the entrepreneur Giovanni Porcu makes it in a few years one of the main Italian experiences related to the world of craft beer, combining the purely industrial soul of the brand with the world of food retail. Doppio Malto thus becomes a catering format in which home-brewed beer takes center stage together with a simple and genuine gastronomic offer. Doppio Malto's beers are now all produced in the new brewery in Sardinia (Iglesias), which has a production capacity of five million liters. The brand currently has 39 locations in Italy and abroad and expansion continues with new openings planned both in Italy and France, which will bring the total number of locations in the network to 50.
