Free vouchers for meals at Doha Airport
Qatar Airways and Virgin Australia are unveiling 'Dine on Us', a new programme that rewards passengers transiting through Doha and travelling to or from Australia. Effective June 12, 2025, members of the Privilege Club and Velocity Frequent Flyer program will receive a voucher worth $20 to use in restaurants and cafes at Hamad International Airport (DOH), recently named Skytrax's Best Airport in the Middle East 2025.
Vouchers will be accessible to all members of loyalty programmes, including Student Club and Privilege Club Family, by simply entering their membership number when purchasing their ticket or during check-in. The initiative gives free access to a selection of over 50 dining options inside the airport, from gourmet options such as the Harrods Tea Room, to casual proposals by Gordon Ramsay (Burger and Street Pizza), passing through iconic places such as Ralph's Coffee and Oreo Café.
Premium members (Privilege Club Platinum, Gold and Silver, as well as Velocity Platinum and Gold members) will have access to priority treatment and extra benefits, including free seat selection, extended baggage allowance, lounge access, preferential check-in and facilitated baggage claim.
In parallel, Privilege Club members will be able to collect and redeem Avios in Qatar Duty Free stores, as well as Qpoints for purchases and meals made within the airport.
The initiative underlines Qatar Airways ' central role in connectivity between Europe, the Middle East and Australia. The airline is set to relaunch daily flights to Canberra via Melbourne, bringing the number of Australian destinations served to six.
From June 2025, Virgin Australia will begin flights to Doha from Sydney, Brisbane and Perth, adding Melbourne in December. All Virgin Australia flights will be operated with Qatar Airways' Boeing 777s, renowned for their elegant Qsuite in Business Class. In addition, the entire fleet will soon be fully equipped with the ultra-fast Starlink internet connection: more than 80% of the aircraft are already operational, with more than 6,000 flights carried out in gate-to-gate WiFi mode, offering an unprecedented service in the MENA region.
