New shopping experience at Nice airport
Combining French luxury and local tradition for an immersive experience
Lagardère Travel Retail France has been awarded the management of the Duty Free and Fashion areas Nice airport, the second in France, with an eight-year contract that ushers in a new era of shopping for passengers. This project aims to combine luxury and local authenticity, offering iconic brands such as Chanel and Dior, alongside local producers from the French Riviera such as Maison Gannac and Château La Mascarone.
The boutiques, which span 3,500 square meters in Terminals 1 and 2, will open between 2025 and 2026 and will create a harmonious environment with architecture inspired by the region. Lagardère's goal is to offer an unprecedented experience for travelers: an alchemy between product, environment and identity of the Côte d'Azur, made possible thanks to a vision that integrates physical spaces and an innovative digital experience. The project also embraces a strong social and environmental responsibility component, with a commitment to 20% sustainable products and 15% local items by 2025.
Thanks to this approach, each boutique will allow travelers to immerse themselves in the culture of the French Riviera with personalized welcome services, as well as a unique and memorable shopping experience.
Lagardère Travel Retail Italy
It provides a varied assortment of products and operates in Italy guaranteeing the development of three business lines:
- Duty Free & Luxury: Lagardère is the leader in Italy in the Duty Free sector with the "Aelia Duty Free" brand, as well as one of the main operators within the Italian Fine Food and Fashion airports, with multi-brand stores and single-brand boutiques.
- Foodservice: offers different brands that combine modernity and tradition with a Made in Italy offer, but with an international scope, both with directly managed formats such as Beercode, Decanto, Homeburger, Natoo and Rustichelli & Mangione, and with franchising companies.
- Travel Essentials: News & Convenience's heritage is reflected in a unique portfolio of owned or partnered brands, designed to enhance the traveler's experience through products such as gifts, souvenirs and electronics. Starting with RELAY , a brand with proven international reliability.
