New routes from Fiumicino to Spain with Wizz Air
The low-cost airline flies from Rome in Spain to Bilbao and Zaragoza
Wizz Air inaugurates 2025 with two new routes connecting Rome to Spain. From 30 March 2025, flights to Bilbao (BIO) will start, followed on 1 April by connections to Zaragoza (ZAZ).
Bilbao: the art and architecture of the Basque Country
Flights to Bilbao from Rome (FCO) will be operated four times a week, every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. This new route is an opportunity to discover the Basque Country's main city, famous for its modern skyline and the famous Guggenheim Museum, an international symbol of contemporary art and design.
Zaragoza: A Unique Connection and a Spiritual Destination
Zaragoza, served three times a week (Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday), stands out as a new destination in Wizz Air's network, as no other airline currently connects Rome Fiumicino with this city. Known for its Baroque Basilica of Nuestra Señora del Pilar, a destination for religious pilgrimages, Zaragoza is a particularly important destination during the Jubilee Year, offering a direct bridge between Spanish pilgrims and Rome, the center of Christianity.
Both routes will be operated with the latest generation Airbus A321neo , among the most advanced and sustainable on the market. The choice reinforces Wizz Air's commitment to reducing environmental impact and promoting a sustainable and more responsible aviation model.
