Vueling's new routes for the summer
Vueling, a Spanish airline part of the International Airlines Group (IAG), has unveiled its schedule for the 2025 summer season, which includes 224 routes to nearly 100 destinations in 29 countries. Among the most significant innovations, four new international connections stand out that strengthen the carrier's presence on the Italian market, with the introduction of flights departing from Florence, Salerno and Rimini.
Florence, Salerno and Rimini: new routes to Europe
From 1 April 2025, the Florence - Brussels route is operational, with three weekly frequencies (Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday). Vueling thus becomes the first and only low-cost airline to serve this route.
Starting from the summer, Salerno debuts in the Vueling network with two exclusive routes not served by other carriers. From 20 June to 24 October, it will be possible to fly to Paris (Orly) three times a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday), while from 3 July to 25 October, Salerno will be connected to Barcelona with flights on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Rimini is also added to the list of Italian destinations served, with the Barcelona - Rimini route active from 2 July to 22 October, operated twice a week (Wednesday and Sunday).
A solid network in Italy for summer 2025
Overall, during summer 2025, Vueling will offer 33 routes from 15 Italian airports to 13 European destinations in 6 countries (Spain, France, Belgium, the United Kingdom, Croatia and Greece). In addition to the hubs in Rome Fiumicino and Florence, the company is also active from Bari, Bologna, Cagliari, Catania, Genoa, Milan Malpensa, Naples, Olbia, Palermo, Rimini, Salerno, Turin and Venice.
On a domestic level, Vueling continues to connect Florence with Catania even in the summer months.
While among the European destinations served there are several cities such as Barcelona, Bilbao, Brussels, Dubrovnik, Ibiza, London, Madrid, Malaga, Mykonos, Paris, Santorini, Split and Valencia.
