An exhibition dedicated to Franco Moschino in Milan
Thirty years after his death, the exhibition is a tribute to the visionary genius who was able to challenge the conventions of fashion and society
On November 22, the exhibition "Franco Moschino. The visionary genius", a tribute to the famous Italian designer on the thirtieth anniversary of his death. Promoted by the Italian Art Directors Club (ADCI), curated by Giuseppe Mastromatteo and Pierpaolo Pitacco, and under the patronage of the Municipality of Milan, the exhibition aims to tell the revolutionary creativity and nonconformist thinking of Moschino through an immersive journey.

Through the lens of photographer Stefano Pandini you can discover an unpublished portrait of Franco Moschino, one of the most iconic and provocative designers on the international scene, capable of combining fashion, art and provocation. The exhibition represents not only a tribute to the artist, but also an opportunity to reflect on the impact that his talent has had on the world of fashion and contemporary culture, inspiring entire generations, not only as a designer but also as an advertiser, painter, social critic and philosopher.

The exhibition itinerary
The exhibition is divided into a series of panels displaying photographs of Moschino, accompanied by archive images and multimedia content to immerse yourself in the history of the designer and his nonconformism through:
► a film dedicated to the figure of Franco Moschino.
► video-interviews with key figures of pop culture of the 80s and 90s, such as Gianni Mereghetti (philosopher), Massimo Foroni (fashion designer), Manuel Agnelli (musician), Luca Stoppini (artistic director of Vogue Italia during the Moschino years), Violeta Sanchez (model) and Stefano Pandini himself.
► screens curated by ADCI, which collect exclusive interviews made by Giuseppe Mastromatteo.
► a special corner with works and memorabilia belonging to Stefano Pandini's private collection.

A tribute to Moschino's genius
The exhibition celebrates the creative genius of Franco Moschino, retracing his revolutionary role in pop culture and the international fashion system. His ability to combine art and fashion, with an irreverent and provocative approach, has left an indelible mark on a global level. ADCI wanted to transform this exhibition into an immersive experience, capable of restoring all the genius and audacity of Moschino, bringing out not only his artistic talent but also his social commitment.
Charity factor and special initiatives
The exhibition includes a strong charitable component: it is possible to buy the photographic book "Iconoclasta" in a limited edition, 100 unmissable copies signed by Pandini, and the certified fine art photos whose proceeds will be entirely donated to the Hospice of Abbiategrasso, supported by the Moschino Foundation, in favor of the terminally ill.

The collaboration with Istituto Marangoni
Within the exhibition, the young talents of Istituto Marangoni, of which Moschino is one of the most illustrious alumni, present a selection of projects inspired by his creative and nonconformist vision. The works represent a dialogue between tradition and modernity, reinterpreting the essence of the Moschino brand. For Istituto Marangoni, this partnership is an opportunity to celebrate Moschino's legacy and its innovative spirit, which continues to influence new generations.
Hall of Legends Award 2024
On the occasion of the ADCI Awards 2024, the prestigious Hall of Legends award was awarded in memory of Franco Moschino. This award, presented on October 30 during the Intersections event , underlines the importance of passing on to new generations the genius of visionary artists such as Moschino.

Where: MyOwnGallery by Superstudio, in via Tortona 27bis - Milan. When: from November 22nd to December 19th, 2024. Admission: free. Hours: Tuesday to Friday from 1 pm to 7 pm and on weekends from 11 am to 7 pm. Closed on Mondays.
