The Official Area of St. Peter's Basilica for the Jubilee of 2025
An "all-inclusive" space at the entrance to Via della Conciliazione at number 3A, the place of welcome and meeting that anticipates the "real" visit to the Basilica
On the occasion of the upcoming Jubilee in 2025, St. Peter's Basilica in Rome is preparing to welcome pilgrims from all over the world with a dedicated initiative: the Official Area of St. Peter's Basilica, conceived as an inclusive welcome space, located at the entrance to Via della Conciliazione, at number 3A. This place represents a point of contact and a symbolic "embrace" to accompany visitors to the House of Peter, anticipating their visit inside the Basilica.
The inauguration: a meeting of faith and community
On October 31 at 12:00 noon, the official inauguration of the Official Area for the Jubilee 2025 will be held, with a ceremony that includes the blessing in the presence of Cardinal Mauro Gambetti, Archpriest of St. Peter's Basilica, Vicar of the Holy Father for Vatican City and president of the Fabric of St. Peter's with Father Enzo Fortunato, director of communications of St. Peter's Basilica.
Hospitality and technology: a meeting between tradition and innovation
The Official Jubilee Area 2025 offers a complete and multilingual reception service to meet every need of visitors, especially during periods of high turnout. Thanks to the use of cutting-edge technologies, pilgrims will have access to information through touch walls, totems and mobile devices with tablets, as well as virtual and augmented reality experiences that allow a "preview" visit of the Basilica. This service also aims to involve the youngest, with educational programs for children and adolescents active throughout the Holy Year, which include interactive visits and the discovery of unpublished details such as the restored Bernini canopy.
Spirituality and encounter: an immersive and accessible experience
At the center of the experience in St. Peter's Basilica in Rome is spirituality, understood as the encounter and discovery of faith. The Official Area allows you to book exclusive and immersive visits, also designed for people with disabilities and visually impaired, thanks to guides accredited by the Fabbrica di San Pietro and accessible routes. In addition, the initiative allows personal dialogues with religious and lay people prepared to offer listening and spiritual support, in a context that favors reflection and personal growth.

Charity and hospitality: support for those who cannot make it to Rome
For those who, for various reasons, cannot travel to Rome, a reception network has been created with the support of parishes, dioceses, embassies and Third Sector realities. Through a simple free app, pilgrims can access a spiritual and human journey even from a distance, finding hospitality in specially selected places. The Be Human association, together with the Fabbrica di San Pietro and important partners in the Italian mobility sector, support these initiatives to facilitate the journey and reception of pilgrims.
Souvenirs and memory: exclusive objects to testify to the experience
Inside the Official Area of St. Peter's Basilica, it is possible to buy authentic and sustainable objects, distinguished by the exclusive logo of St. Peter's Basilica. These souvenirs are a symbol of the experience, a memory to take with you and share with your loved ones. Civita Exhibitions and Museums, on behalf of the Fabbrica di San Pietro, takes care of the selection and sale of cultural, artistic and editorial products, thus offering a unique collection.
"St. Peter's Square": the new magazine of the Basilica
The Official Area also hosts the new magazine "St. Peter's Square", dedicated to telling the life and activities of the Basilica. It is possible to subscribe to stay updated on events, projects and reflections related to one of the symbolic places of Christianity, strengthening the bond between the Basilica and the faithful from all over the world.
