Integrated travel with Swiss and SBB

Switzerland's two largest transport companies are extending their cooperation, improving accessibility to Swiss Alpine destinations
Swiss and the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) are extending their collaboration, which began in 2019, to connect air and rail travel, further integrating transport in Switzerland.

Thanks to this partnership, which now includes more than 20 Swiss Air Rail destinations, Chur, Davos, Klosters and St. Moritz in the canton of Graubünden will be added to the route network, thus offering more travel opportunities for international tourists. The new connections will be available from 2 October 2024.

The initiative, initially planned for five years, has seen growing success with a 15% increase in demand this year alone. The partnership offers a complete travel experience that combines the strengths of air and rail transport.

The new connections will make it easier for international travellers to reach Swiss tourist destinations, thanks to the integration of SBB routes with Swiss's network

Travellers can book Swiss Air Rail in combination with a Swiss flight on www.swiss.com or at any travel agency, choosing the train station of departure or destination and getting a single ticket for the combined journey air+train. Passengers can use their train ticket the day before flight departure or the day after arrival. In addition, Miles & More members will also earn miles on their train tickets, depending on the connecting flight and travel class. Swiss First and Business passengers will be able to enjoy first class rail on all Swiss Air Rail routes.

With the addition of these new destinations, the Swiss Air Rail network reaches 21 destinations, including Basel, Bern, Geneva, Lugano, Lucerne, Munich and Bregenz.
