Salerno - Costa d’Amalfi Airport, QSR

Salerno Costa d’Amalfi Airport is located between the municipalities of Bellizzi and Pontecagnano Faiano in southern Italy and serves the city of Salerno, which is about 20 kilometers away, and the coastal areas of Amalfi and Cilento. The airport is located along the Tirrena Inferiore state road, which connects Salerno to Reggio Calabria, in the heart of the Tyrrhenian Mediterranean.

Founded by the Air Force in 1926, over the years the airport has carried out infrastructural renovations to accommodate air services, with a larger runway, check-in desks, boarding areas, baggage conveyor belts and standby sales. In July 2024, the airport resumed scheduled flights with low-cost airlines easyJet, Ryanair and Volotea operating routes to national and international destinations.

Thanks to the completion of Phase 1 of the Gesac Development Plan, Salerno - Costa d’Amalfi Airport is the second airport in Campania after Naples airport. The second phase of the Development Plan includes, among other investments, the further extension of the runway up to 2,200 metres and the construction of the new Passenger Terminal, expected in 2026. The new terminal, of approximately 16 thousand square metres, was designed to reflect the highest environmental standards both in terms of energy efficiency and the use of natural and sustainable materials, with architectural choices based on respect for the environment, integration with the territory and connection with the landscape. The new airport will welcome up to 5 million passengers.
