Lagardère Travel Retail revolutionizes the commercial offer at Warsaw Chopin Airport
New gastronomic islands combine tradition and modernity for a unique travel experience
Lagardère Travel Retail, presented a new commercial concept at Warsaw's Chopin Airport: the Bistro Okienko. This unique place takes travelers back to the time when zapiekanki and sausages, served in street kiosks, were a symbol of Polish street food.
The format, designed as a commercial island, is part of the company's strategy, which focuses on innovative and flexible solutions to make the most of commercial spaces.
Bistro Okienko, located in the Non-Schengen area, offers a blend of nostalgia and modernity, with classic dishes such as zapiekanki and hot dogs reinterpreted in a contemporary way, enriched with high-quality ingredients. This new concept meets the needs of modern travelers with fast service and excellent gastronomic offerings.

The Bistro Okienko project is part of a broader development plan by Lagardère Travel Retail, which has already introduced two new So Coffee brand premises at the airport. In the coming months, the company plans to launch additional dining concepts, strategically placed near the gates to ensure access and convenience for all passengers.
Commercial islands, thanks to their compact size and versatility, are an ideal solution for places with high traffic density such as airports, railway stations and shopping malls. Lagardère Travel Retail leverages this format to offer a fast service and a unique shopping experience, while maintaining the ability to quickly adapt to market needs and test new products.
