Ryanair's summer schedule for Milan
For summer 2025, flights from Lombardy to 156 destinations and 30 aircraft based in Bergamo and Malpensa airports
Ryanair today launched its summer 2025 schedule for Milan Bergamo and Milan Malpensa airports, confirming its leadership in connectivity at competitive fares. With a focus on sunny destinations, city breaks and lesser-known destinations, the new schedule offers a wide choice for Lombardy travellers.

Ryanair's growth in Italy for 2025
Despite its efforts to expand the offer, Ryanair has highlighted the negative impact of the increase in the municipal surcharge of €0.50 per passenger, scheduled for 1 April 2025. The company highlighted how this measure limits the competitiveness of Milan and Italy compared to other European countries, where aviation taxes are being reduced to encourage traffic growth.
By comparison, in Italian regions such as Abruzzo, Calabria and Friuli-Venezia Giulia, the abolition of the municipal surcharge has led Ryanair to invest in four new aircraft worth $400 million, demonstrating how more favorable tax policies incentivize growth.
Ryanair's CEO, Eddie Wilson, said that the growth potential of Milan and the whole of Italy is hampered by the regressive increase in municipal taxes. This makes Italian airports less competitive than countries such as Poland and Sweden, which are adopting more favorable policies for the aviation sector. Wilson specified that, with a more competitive regulatory framework, Ryanair would be ready to: invest $4 billion in Italy; add 40 new aircraft to the Italian fleet; offer 250 new routes; generate 20 million additional passengers per year; create 1,500 new jobs for pilots, flight attendants and engineers.
