Ryanair celebrates 25 years in Genoa

New winter schedule unveiled with increased weekly flights and new travel opportunities at competitive fares
Since the first flight to London-Stansted in 1999, Ryanair has contributed significantly to the growth of air traffic and tourism in Genoa, carrying a total of 5 million passengers.

For the winter, the company will offer 44 weekly flights (+29% compared to last year) on 8 routes: Bari, Cagliari, Brussels (Charleroi), Catania, Naples, Palermo, London (Stansted) and Lamezia Terme, with an increase in frequencies to London-Stansted and Catania. Ryanair's aim is to ensure customers have more choice at affordable fares for their winter getaways and, to celebrate the anniversary, it has launched a promotion with fares starting from €21.99.

Enrico Musso, President of Genoa's Cristoforo Colombo International Airport, said: "We are delighted to celebrate this important milestone with Ryanair. The Irish carrier confirms itself as a key partner in Genoa Airport's traffic development strategy. After 25 years from the start of operations at the Genoa airport, Ryanair is now the leading airline in Genoa both in terms of number of routes and passengers. Ryanair's connections allow Ligurians to fly at extremely competitive rates, but also tens of thousands of Italian and foreign tourists to visit our region. We are grateful to Ryanair for the investment in our territory, which will have increasing benefits on connectivity and the local economy".
