The canvas, with an imposing size of three by two meters, is characterized by a band that bears the footprints of a thousand participants, left during the Bread and Pasta Festival - Spring Edition 2024, held on the Mazzini seafront in Mazara del Vallo. On this occasion, the diners helped to make the work a collective symbol of participation and community.

The ceremony was attended, in addition to the artist, by Francesco Foggia, representative of the Unac volunteer association and the president of Airgest, Salvatore Ombra who put his signature on the back of the canvas, next to that of Gerry Bianco and the other thousand participants, strengthening the link between the work, the Trapani Birgi airport and the territory. The work pays homage to the historic landing of the Thousand in 1860, in Marsala and the airport, as specified by Salvatore Ombra, allows people to transit, meet, find themselves and, for this reason, it has been positioned in front of a gate, a departure door from the territory of Trapani to the world.
