Aeroporti di Puglia and Lumiwings strengthen connections with Milan, Bergamo and Turin
Foggia will be a strategic hub for the Jubilee and religious tourism
Aeroporti di Puglia and the airline Lumiwings today announced the news of the flight schedule for the 2024/2025 winter season, with important developments for the 'Gino Lisa' airport in Foggia. In addition to the six weekly connections currently operating to Milan (Linate), a seventh frequency will be added on Fridays, to offer even more flight opportunities to passengers.
The strengthening of connections does not stop here: flights to Bergamo will increase from two to three per week, ensuring better coverage of the Milan area, while connections with Turin will be operated twice a week. This extension of connectivity represents a significant step for the city of Foggia and for the entire region, helping to improve mobility and accessibility opportunities.
"A great result resulting from a synergistic collaboration between Aeroporti di Puglia, the Puglia Region and Lumiwings," said Antonio Maria Vasile, president of Aeroporti di Puglia. "The increase in frequencies to Linate and Bergamo not only meets the needs of Apulian and Milanese passengers, but also prepares Foggia airport to play a crucial role on the occasion of the Jubilee, becoming a strategic access for pilgrims and tourists."
Aeroporti di Puglia and the Region continue to work to further expand the offer of flights from the 'Gino Lisa' airport, with the aim of making Foggia a point of reference for connectivity and economic development of the territory, thus strengthening its strategic role in the Italian transport landscape.
