EasyJet opens new flights from Rimini for the summer
From the next summer season, the airline will connect Rimini and San Marino Federico Fellini airport with London (Gatwick) and Basel with two weekly flights
EasyJet has announced the start of operations from Rimini and San Marino Federico Fellini International Airport starting from the next summer season. From 16 April, the company will operate two new routes, connecting Rimini with Basel and London (Gatwick), with two weekly flights on each route, available on Wednesdays and Sundays. Reservations will be open from November 19.
The opening of these new routes is part of easyJet's long-term strategy to strengthen its presence in Italy, optimising the network and promoting sustainable growth. The goal is to continue to offer affordable flights to and from the country, expanding travel possibilities for passengers.
These new connections enrich easyJet's extensive network, which includes over 220 routes operating in 19 Italian airports, offering travellers an even wider choice. The collaboration represents an opportunity for local tourism and to enhance Romagna, famous for its beaches, traditional cuisine, lively nightlife and hilly landscapes. Connections to London and Basel, available from spring 2025, will make international access to the Romagna Riviera easier and offer a better connection to Europe for local residents.
Rimini joins the network, joining easyJet's more than 150 destinations in Europe. The flight from Rimini to Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg airport allows you to visit Basel in Switzerland, Alsace (North-Eastern France), Freiburg in Germany and the Black Forest.
The announcement was made during a conference at Rimini airport, organized in collaboration with AIRiminum 2014, the airport operator, and the Emilia-Romagna Region. Among the participants, the Mayor of Rimini, Jamil Sadegholvaad, the President of ATP Servizi Emilia Romagna, Davide Cassani, the Director of APT Servizi Emilia Romagna, Emanuele Burioni, the CEO of Rimini Airport, Leonardo Corbucci, and Lorenzo Lagorio, Country Manager of easyJet Italia.
