ITA Airways' new route from Rome Fiumicino to Dubai
The daily direct flight to the UAE is operated with Airbus A321neo. The connection joins the carrier's other routes to Riyadh and Jeddah in the Middle East
ITA Airways celebrated the launch of its first route to the United Arab Emirates, with a daily direct flight connecting Rome Fiumicino to Dubai. The daily Rome-Dubai flight represents an important expansion for ITA Airways, integrating a strategic market of global importance into its network.
The daily connection operates according to the following schedule:
► Rome - Dubai: departure from Rome Fiumicino at 10:40 am, arriving in Dubai at 7:50 pm (local time).
► Dubai - Rome: Departure from Dubai at 1:50 AM (local time), arriving in Rome at 6:00 AM (local time).
The flight is operated with the Airbus A321neo, the first narrow-body model in the ITA Airways fleet, which has reached a total of 100 aircraft. Configured in three classes – Business (12 seats), Premium Economy (12 seats) and Economy (141 seats, including 12 Comfort Economy seats) – the A321neo offers an efficient and quiet experience, with savings of 20% in fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions per seat.
During the 2024/2025 winter season, ITA Airways will serve 53 destinations, including 15 domestic, 23 international and 15 intercontinental. Following the launch of the Dubai route, ITA Airways will further expand its network with a new direct flight between Rome Fiumicino and Bangkok, marking the airline's debut in Thailand. The flight to Bangkok will be operational from 16 November with five weekly frequencies, using the Airbus A330neo. Starting December 20, 2024, the company will introduce up to five weekly frequencies from Rome to Malé, the capital of the Maldives, also operated with Airbus A330neo.
